Bailey's first Easter is in the books and she is upstairs napping after a busy day at Gammie's with her cousins...she even somehow snuck her first piece of chocolate but managed to get it out of her mouth before she was able to swallow it, I am sure she was in momentary heaven.
Breakfast started at 10 ish so we did not make it to church this morning but did go to church on Friday and watched the Passion and was reminded of the sacrifices that Christ made for us. We had a really big breakfast and Bailey ate 3 pancakes (i think she may have given one to Alvin!) The kids then opened their Easter baskets which were filled with all sorts of goodies from the Easter Bunny. Then the real fun started, the big kids Egg Hunt which has turned into a classic event every Easter and definitely shows the competitive spirit we have within. Pretty sure Britt walked away a winner this year banking 65 dollars and enough big candy bars to rot all our teeth. Happy to say that no one walked away bloody this year though Brian tried to dump me in the pond. Next was the kids hunt, this one was inside and pretty fun to watch!! Samantha was the great older sister/cousin helping the kids and even sharing her eggs!!
All in all it was a fantastic Easter and looking forward to eating the leftover Ham and potato casserole that is in the fridge...only we could celebrate these holidays with the Nettletons as well!!
